Day 1

ARRIVAL / KALPITIYA – (140KM – approximately 3-hour drive)

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality; Representative from Aakash Asia Ceylon will Welcome you and proceed directly to Kalpitiya and check in to the hotel.

*Kalpitiya is in Puttalm District, North Western Province of Sri Lanka. It is known for its serene beauty. Rich in natural beauty. The people of Kalpitiya are mostly fishermen. It is now developing as an attractive tourist destination. It is a marine sanctuary with a diversity of habitats ranging from bar reefs, flat coastal plains, saltpans, mangrove swamp, salt marshes and vast sand dunes beaches. The coastal waters are also home to spinner, bottlenose and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins, whales and sea turtles. Season for dolphin watching in Kalpitiya is November to end of March. Kalpitiya is normally the best location for kitesurfing in the country. The summer kitesurfing season is from May to October.

Day 2


After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to visit Wilpattu National Park.

*Wilpattu National Park situated 180km North of Colombo and in the Northwest Coast lowland, dry zone of Sri Lanka. The unique feature of this park is the existence of “Willu” (Nature Lakes) – natural sand rimmed water basins or depressions that with rain water. The park is 131,693 hectares and 152 m above from sea level. Nearly sxty lakes (Willu) and tanks are spread throughout Wilpattu. Wilpattu is the largest and one on the oldest National parks in the country. Wilpattu is among the top National Parks in the world – renowned for its Leopards population. The Leopards population in Wilpattu is not known.

Day 3

KALPITIYA / ANURADHAPURA – (120KM – approximately 3-hour drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, proceeds to Anuradhapura.

*Anuradhapura is a one of the major city in Sri Lanka. It is the Capital city of North Central province, Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura is the First Kingdom of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Sri Lankan civilization. It believed that from 4th Century BC until beginning of the 11th Century AD it was the Capital of the Sinhalese. During this period, it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. The ancient city, considered Sacred to the Buddhist World, is today surrounding by monasteries covering an area of over 40sqkm. The city, now a UNESCO – World Heritage Site was the center of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries. It is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world.

Upon arrive commence Anuradhapura Ancient City Tour.

*Ancient City Tour - Sri Moha Bodhi Tree (Sacred Tree) Ruwanveli Stupa, Brazen Palace, Thuparama Stupa, Mirisawetiya Stupa, Abayagiri Monastery, Jethavana Stupa, Samadhi Statue, Twin Ponds, Moon Stone and Guard Stone.

Dinner and overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

Day 4

ANURADHAPURA / NILAVELI (TRINCOMALEE) – (120KM – approximately 3-hour drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Nilaveli.

*Nilaveli is a coastal resort town located about 16 kilometers away from Trincomalee. Tamil translation of Naliaveli is “open land of the moon shine”. It used to be a popular tourist destination in the past, however due to Sri Lankan civil war and 2004 Tsunami number of tourist visiting Nilaveli have been declined until 2009. From 2010 onwards, we can see a significant increase in the number of tourist visiting Nilaveli and once again it’s becomes a one of the main tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Nilaveli is considered as a one of the best beaches in the country because of the white sandy beach. Peaceful Nilaveli beach is in its best from May to October. Attraction of this coastal resort town including the beach and visit to the Koneswaram Temple and Kinniya hot spring well located nearby. Nilaveli beach has direct access to the famous Pigeon Island where tourist can go for snorkeling or scuba diving.

Day 5


After breakfast at the hotel, leisure on the Nilaveli Beach.

Day 6

NILAVELI (TRINCOMALEE) / COLOMBO – (290KM – approximately 6-hour drive)

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Colombo.

*Colombo, the Commercial Capital of Sri Lanka, is a bustling city and a hopping-off point for beaches in the island nation's south. It has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its spicy cuisine as well as its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high-rises and shopping malls.

Upon arrive commence Colombo City Tour.

*Colombo City Tour - Visiting Colombo Light house, Light house with Clock Tower designed by Lady Ward (built before the Big Ben in London), Galle Face Promenade with cannons of World War II, South Expansion of the Colombo Harbour, York Street with remnants of British Colonial Architecture, Slave Island are, famous Hindu Kovil with unique carved gopuram, Nelum Pokuna Theater, Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo Town Hall, BMICH, Independence Square, the scenic Beira Lake in the heart of the city, the War Memorial, Public Library, National Museum and many more interesting places.

COLOMBO / AIRPORT – (40KM – approximately 1-hour drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to the Colombo International Airport to catch your flight to Maldives accompanied with all the happy Sri Lankan memories.
